We have located over a dozen caches and the gps was right on. This little gps has everything you need for geocaching if you are as technically challenged as I am. For the price it is great.
The Garmin system is not as good as the Intelinav because you do not have as much notice for junctions (They give you a count down) and often no instruction at all if you are proceeding straight ahead
Easy to use would be my thoughts and all outdoors people should have one. When I hunt I go into very rough terrain and I go way in where most other hunters would never go. Not only was this product packaged as advertised. It was delivered promptly and what a great product. My new etrex always brings me right back to my truck or location I desire.
Works and tested flawlessly when tested next to my Cuda 250. No bells or whistles needed, unless you're into that sort of stuff. It took a bit of fumbling around to figure out all of the nuances. Upon opening the package, I thought there may have been a mistake. who reads the manual anyway.
I received it within the stated shipping period and in excellent condition. No blemishes or scratches anywhere. I purchased the handheld to be a backup for when I used a different kayak or travel to another island. :)A recommended product if you want a backup or want an entry level handheld gps. I purchased a refurbished model of the Garmin eTrex Handheld.
The shipped unit looked brand new. Although the manual was included.
I usually pop it into a ziplock baggy though, because my boat takes in a of water on windy days. Helps me find reefs while spearfishing. Ive been using this in my small boat, and it has been excellent. I've flooded them in past by taking them diving, so find a waterproof phone case or something robust, then you can tuck it into your wetsuit if you like.
